YEAR SEVEN

2012 was more scattered. It kind of feels like the year when we all grew up. But the movie was only half done and the show must go on.

Brett was getting more and more commercial work which made him less and less available to us as director of photography.

Travis had a friend, Patrick Blevins, who had recently obtained a RED Scarlet camera and I was very enthusiastic for him to learn how to use it on my film. But without Brett around, the job of D.P. fell on me, which was fine, it came naturally but it meant shoots took a bit longer to get through.

It didn’t take long for Patrick and I get a groove going and the shots were starting to look beautiful now that we were shooting in 4k and with a vintage Cooke cinema lens.
